Day 1: Arrive Glasgow
A transfer is included from Glasgow Airport to Cameron House. You’ll have lake-view rooms at your hotel, an impressive Scottish baronial manor house set on 100 acres above the shores of Loch Lomond. Join us tonight for a private cocktail reception aboard a cruise on the famous loch, followed by dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Stirling Castle / Glenturret Distillery
Visit Stirling Castle, a majestic example of Scottish Renaissance architecture; the town developed around the castle. Scotland’s oldest single Highland malt distillery is in Perthshire; a private tour of Glenturret Distillery takes you behind-the-scenes to witness the art of whisky-making, complete with a tasting. Journey into the Trossachs, known as Rob Roy country, and return to the hotel for an evening at your leisure.

Day 3: The Great Glen to the Highlands
Journey into the Scottish Highlands through the moors, lochs, forests, and craggy mountains of The Great Glen, from Fort William to Loch Ness. Scotland’s 200-year-old network of inland waterways and canals connects the countryside. Visit Fort Augustus for a look at the dramatic lochs along the Caledonian Canal, then on to Inverness.

Day 4: Culloden / Cawdor Castle / Inverness
Delve into Scottish history on visits to the ancient burial site at Clava Cairns and at Culloden, site of the battle of 1746 that divided families and clans. Cawdor Castle is a medieval fairy-tale castle with magnificent gardens; learn all about the Macbeth connection on a visit. Tonight, discover the history of the Scottish kilt and tartans, plus Scottish entertainment featuring bagpipers and Highland dancers.

Day 5: Visit 16th-Century Blair Castle
From Inverness, travel Tauck’s Yellow Roads through the Cairngorm and Grampian mountains to Blair Atholl, for a visit to Blair Castle. The famed white castle, beneath forested slopes above the River Garry, contains over 30 rooms featuring unique relics depicting 16th-century Highland life. Arrive in Edinburgh; your hotel, The Balmoral, is a luxury hotel in the heart of the city’s shopping area on Princes Street in New Town.

Day 6: Explore Edinburgh
Begin the day with a privately guided sightseeing tour of Edinburgh accompanied by a local expert. Visit 11th-century Edinburgh Castle, displaying the Stone of Scone on which most Scottish kings were crowned. You’ll also visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the Queen’s official residence when she is in Edinburgh (subject to closure); it is connected to Edinburgh Castle by the Royal Mile, the main thoroughfare of Old Town. Special Tauck Highlight – tours that are departing July 29 – August 19 will attend an evening outdoor performance of the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, performed by Scottish military units.

Day 7: Edinburgh / St. Andrews
Today is yours to spend pursuing what interests you most in Edinburgh – there’s a treasure trove of historic sites, museums, galleries and gardens. Or join us on a trip to legendary St. Andrews for a day free to explore this seaside town that has hosted some of the greatest names in golf. Join us this evening for a farewell cocktail reception and a banquet dinner.

Day 8: Journey Home
Tour Ends: Edinburgh. Fly home anytime; a transfer is included from The Balmoral to Edinburgh Airport. Allow a minimum of 3 hours for flight check-in.
