About This Tour

This 11-day vacation includes the services of a Local Host and morning guided sightseeing with highlight visits to St. Paul’s Cathedral in London and the Changing of the Guard (if held); a visit to Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and an ascent to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower; and a canal cruise and visit to the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. You’ll also have plenty of time for shopping and independent sightseeing, and exciting optional excursions are available in all three cities. Ride the Eurostar train from London to Paris and the Thalys train (first-class) from Paris to Amsterdam.

Notting Hill, Portobello Road market, and good transport links are close by. The public areas include a stylish lobby, Arts bar, and restaurant where refreshments and meals are served throughout the day.

PARIS: MERCURE TOUR EIFFEL SUFFREN, An elegant first-class airconditioned hotel with 405 rooms, all with minibar and satellite TV. Situated on the left bank of the Seine, close to the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero Gardens, it includes a tastefully decorated restaurant with terrace, a bar, and its own garden.

AMSTERDAM: CROWNE PLAZA CITY CENTRE, A modern superior first-class hotel with 270 rooms in the historic heart of Amsterdam. Elegant, air-conditioned guestrooms have private bath, direct-dial telephone, minibar, coffee/tea maker, satellite TV, hairdryer, and trouser press. The hotel has a pool, saunas, solariums, fitness room, and a restaurant, a coffee shop, and a Dutch pub.

Board your overnight transatlantic flight.

Day 2:
London, England. Arrive in London. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Day 3:
London. Morning guided sightseeing, visit St. Paul’s Cathedral (except on Sundays) and see the Changing of the Guard (if held). (B)

Day 4:
London. Full day at your leisure. (B)

Day 5:
London–Paris. Travel to Paris by Eurostar train (upgrades to first-class available); transfer from/to hotels. (B)

Day 6:
Paris. Morning guided sightseeing, see the Arc de Triomphe, the Opéra, the Champs-Elysées, and more. Also visit Notre Dame Cathedral with its Rose Window. (B)

Day 7:
Paris. Full day at your leisure. (B)

Paris–Amsterdam. Travel to Amsterdam by high-speed Thalys train (first-class); transfers from/to hotels. (B)
